Persistent World Content
The Isles of Aledeon Persistent World is a recreation of the fictional locations created exclusively for this website and roleplay forums. Currently the PW consists of one module covering much of the western portion of the islands. In an effort to cut down on the number of areas within the module, the islands have been divided into large areas ( "Townships" ) which are interconnected with other townships and/or exterior areas. It would be extremely difficult to try and squeeze the entire island group into a single NWN2 module, so instead only some of the main locations on the islands will be represented at this time.

- TOWNSHIP SYSTEM / OVERLAND MAPS There are currently eleven townships represented by eleven overland maps. The maps are interconnected with each other, or with exterior areas. The main purpose of the overland maps is to provide players with a faster method of travel within the module, and is an alternative to our previous "portal system", found in the NWN version of our PW. Players will be able to discover and explore hidden areas from the overland map, as well as collect items and gold as they are found. Currently there are no plans to include encounter spawns on the overland map itself, however "secret" encounter transitions will be built in to the system. |

- TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM A transportation system is currently being built into the overland maps, that will allow travel over land/water. Players will be able to aquire transportation through "Transportation Agents" scattered along the major trade routes and in major towns/villages. The transportation system will be tiered to allow a variety of modes at increasing cost and effectiveness. The outer islands will only be reachable through the highest level of travel, and the lowest level of travel will only facilitate travel within the specific overland map. |
Port of Red Barrel
Is the main port for the islands and the gateway to the main island and beyond. All manner of cargo pass through it's gates destined for outlaying settlements and encampments. It was once said that if it "can't be found in Red Barrel it dosen't exist". This may be a bit of an exaggeration, but the fact is that if you can find it on the islands it most likely passed through Red Barrel.

- DOCKS DISTRICT Situated in the south west corner of Red Barrel, the Docks District contains the main port for the island of Aledeon. This is a very busy part of town with daily movement in passengers and cargo. The area also contains Red Barrel's main market where basic supplies can be purchased during daylight hours. Also located in the Docks District is the local Crafting Guild where crafting supplies can be purchased, traded and used. |

- SOUTH GATE - Red Barrel Inn One of the most recognizable and important buildings in Red Barrel, the Red Barrel Inn was one of the first buildings established during the early days. Adventurers and Settlers from far and wide seek out the inn during their visit to Red Barrel, to catch up on the local gossip or perhaps listen to some of the tales sung by the local Bards. The inn is located in the Temple District of Red Barrel beside the ancient Oak tree that towers above all the buildings in the area. |
